The Monolithe Nordic ski area extends from 1500 to 1600 m between Aussois and Val Cenis Sardières. It owes its name to a geological curiosity made of cargnele, a sedimentary rock, 93 m high, located in the forest close to the slopes. The Monolith looks like a needle or a large menhir in the middle of the pines which would make Obelix blush.
This Nordic area is a real treat for skiing enthusiasts. With family or friends, your eyes will feast on the forests and the breathtaking view of the surrounding peaks. Technical trails with a forest atmosphere that will get you hooked on cross-country skiing!
